I’ve talked to three people present for the meeting that day and they all confirm that the President of the United States called the Constitution “a goddamned piece of paper".
Besides, unnamed sources were good enough for Watergate, and that was a coverup of a third-rate burglary. I'm pretty sure that the chief executive denying the validity of the document that gives the American government legitimacy dances awfully close to treason.
What surprises me is that all those "strict constructionists" in the GOP aren't up in arms over his behavior. Come on, a chief executive that believes that he can remove the Constitutional rights of any American citizen, at any time, solely on his unsupported word, and you Republicans are OK with that? What next, torture?

I am from the monkey anti defamation league. Please stop insulting the monkey of the world by comparing W to them.
Now that the joke is over. can't stand what Bush and the GOP is doing to my country. The rights we have should be sacred...Not just a piece if paper.
He would jump up and down if I said The Bible and his religion boils down to a piece of paper.
Bush and his people never cease to amaze me with the crap that spews from their word holes.
One of his monkey boys, Ken Blackwell, is the secretary of state for Ohio. He was also the campaign manager for the Bush/Cheney re-election efforts in 2004. There were many questionable circumstances with the close vote count here in Ohio that gave Bush/Cheney the win. Blackwell is now running for governor of Ohio, trying to replace Bob Taft who has spent his last term in office neck deep in several scandals.
After living through all that has happened lately in my neck of the woods, I find it quite hard to trust anyone who is a member of or affiliated in anyway with the Republican party.
