More on the Vote in California

While we still have it.

Our current Secretary of State, Republican (go figure!) Bruce McPherson, recertified Diebold voting machines on a Friday before a holiday weekend - like he thought we wouldn't notice.

It gets better. Turns out, he decided to base his decision on a heretofore-unknown "independent audit" by a group of people he hired. And, of course, not a word about this until after his re-certification.

It gets better. His own "independent audit" uncovered "serious vulnerabilities" that "go beyond what was previously known"!

Can you believe this? Maybe he wants crowds of California voters registering their opinions on Election Day by inputting their votes with baseball bats. This is a good way to go about it.

Fortunately, his opponent in the upcoming happens to be someone with a solid reputation for protecting the rights of California's voters, and unlike most Democrats she's quick to jump on this.

Why not wander over to her action page and let our current Secretary of State know that you want your vote counted, and the process to be fair and open.

Unless of course, you're not in California.

Then you can wander over and let him know you're watching.
