Something Else That Snuck By

That would be the torturers winning.

Seriously. Here's an op-ed on the subject, for those of you that have an account with the NY Times.

The frightening part was that the judge decided he didn't have a case, not because it didn't happen to him, but because

a) he's a Canadian citizen (the torture victim, not the judge) and

b) Facts in the case might piss off Canada.

You think?

Now point out how "due process of law" only applies to American citizens. Provide proofs. Bonus points if you get your post to Jose Padilla, I'm sure he'd get a few bitter laughs out of it.
