A Note to my Conservative Readers

Let me be blunt here.

You do realize, back in the day, when I called Bush a liberal I was mocking him. And, well, you.

But now that ol' Chimpy McFlightSuit's approval ratings are in the low 30s and waving hi to Nixon territory, you want me to believe that he and his entire Administration have been closet liberals all along.

Read this story on Glenn Greenwald's blog to find out where I'm getting this from.

My response: Pull the other one, for it has bells on.

I sure didn't hear you whining about Bush's liberalism when his approval ratings were in the 70s - you know, when he was actually doing all the things you call him a liberal for now.

But now that he's being exposed for what he is, now that the word impeach has finally returned to the English language, now that photo ops with Bush have about the same effect on one's political career as huffing plutonium vapor, now you want to say that he failed your ideology - that he somehow wasn't a pure enough neocon - so you can toss him aside and find someone else to follow.

Here's a thought. Rethink your ideology. Otherwise, it just looks like a succession of personality cults - and that looks, you know, crazy.

Hiya moody! Long time no see. :)

I'm a conservative but I'm not whining a damn thing. Please do not lump me in with the whiners.
